日本環境学会とは
日本環境学会は、環境諸科学の調査研究や環境教育（環境学習）を推進し、環境問題の解決と持続的で公正な社会の構築に寄与することを目的としています。
本会はその活動に際して、特に次の諸点に留意するものです｡
（1） 広く学際的・総合的な討論の場を保証すること
（2） 市民・住民や学生による調査や研究などの発表を尊重すること
（3） 研究者と住民が共同して行う調査・研究などを奨励すること

本学会は、この目的に基づき、環境問題について、学際的に議論しながら広い視野に基づいた提案によって、私たちと私たちの子孫の住む環境をより良くするために貢献することをめざしております。
このような本学会の主旨に賛同されるあらゆる分野の方々が奮って本学会に入会されることを望みます。
About the Mission
The Association aims to contribute to solving environmental problems and building sustainable and fair society by promoting surveys and research in a range of environmental sciences and by encouraging environmental education (studies). In carrying out these aims, the following principles will be respected:
1. To guarantee opportunities for wide trans-disciplinary and comprehensive debates
2. To respect the presentations of research and studies by the general public and students
3. To encourage collaborative surveys and research between researchers and the general public

With these objectives, our aim is to contribute to a better living environment for the current and future generations by providing proposals that can be made by conducting trans-disciplinary discussions and by taking wider perspectives. We would like to encourage all those who would support our mission to become our members.
